I started my career writing software for hospital management systems in Tanzania — environments where uptime isn't a metric, it's a matter of care. That early discipline of building systems that simply cannot fail has shaped everything since.
Since 2015, I have led the engineering and platform transformation at HTMSL (Mixx By Yas), architecting the infrastructure that powers Tanzania's mobile money ecosystem — USSD platforms, real-time financial triggers, national payment integrations (TIPS, GePG), high-throughput SMS delivery, and the Mixx By Yas Super App — systems used daily by millions of customers.
I operate at the intersection of deep technical execution and strategic product leadership: I design distributed systems, write code, guide cross-functional teams, and translate complex architecture decisions for executive stakeholders — all in service of platforms that generate real business outcomes.

Architected and delivered Tanzania's leading mobile money super app — end-to-end platform design, team leadership, and production delivery.
Real-Time Trigger Engine
Designed and built an event-driven trigger system that fires contextual financial actions in real time based on customer transactions and behaviour.
National Payment Integration
Integrated with Tanzania's national payment infrastructure — TIPS (Tanzania Instant Payment System) and GePG (Government e-Payment Gateway) — enabling real-time bank-to-mobile transfers and government bill payments.
Loan & Overdraft Platform
Delivered the digital lending and overdraft management infrastructure, enabling consumer credit products directly within the mobile money ecosystem.
USSD Apps Builder
Designed a dynamic USSD menu builder that allows non-engineers to configure and deploy interactive USSD applications without code changes — dramatically accelerating product launches.
